Hibernia

Ireland, but even stranger than it actually is. A modern man from an Irish town of Athlone blacks out on a night out and wakes in the wilds of a magical medieval Ireland. Epoch - the time-magic that stranded him - is the fuel he spends to burn back the fog and see what's really out there. What starts as a frantic search for a way home becomes an eager exploration of a mystical land.

Explore, grow, learn and giggle

There's always a thread to pull. Quests give you somewhere to be and a reason to keep growing, but they never dictate how you get there - the route, the pace, and what you chase along the way are yours. Reveal tiles with Epoch, connect roads, staff settlements, and hunt down 143 real Irish locations, ancient sites across three ages, creatures, and curios. The land rewards curiosity and determination.

Underneath, it plays like a Settlers-or-Anno-style supply chain: forests feed lumber camps, ore and charcoal feed the foundry, hides go to the tannery - real production chains with real bottlenecks waiting to be solved.

None of it takes itself too seriously. Cross paths with figures out of Irish myth and history, stumble into folklore-guardian encounters, and read Codex entries written with a dry wink rather than a museum plaque.

What's in it

Built like a real economy game

Six things that shape every session.

Epoch & the fog

Epoch is the strange magic that stranded you here, and the only thing that buys the world back. Every scrap of it burns off a little more fog. Wander far enough from home and you'll feel the land pushing back, holding its secrets that bit tighter.

Real supply chains

Nothing here arrives on its own. Timber, stone, iron, turf, charcoal, leather, tools, bread on the table - every one of them sits at the end of a chain you laid out yourself, and where you put things is half the craft.

A land that fills up

Villages swell, hands find work, and everyone wants feeding. A thin harvest will slow you to a crawl and make you think hard about what comes next - but it will never undo what you've already built.

Codex & Journal

Everywhere you set foot gets written down: 143 real Irish places, the creatures you cross, old stones nobody has touched in an age. Watching that book fill up is its own reason to keep walking.

Folklore encounters

Ireland's myths are still out there, and they have opinions about you. Sit with them or walk on by. They're a detour worth taking, never a wall across the road.

Fair by design

Runes turn up out in the wild as readily as they do in the shop. Play the whole thing without spending a penny - there's no wall waiting to stop you, and none of the world is sold back to you.

The economy

Gods, kings, saints and tricksters

Twelve figures out of Irish legend and history turn up along the way: a war goddess, a high king, a pirate queen, a shape-shifter who thinks it's all very funny. Every one of them wants something different from you.
