Clever Puffling collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. On iPad and iPhone the app makes no network requests at all - it works start to finish in aeroplane mode.
This is not a setting you have to find and switch off. There is nothing to switch off, because there is nothing being collected in the first place.
There is nowhere in the app to type a name or any other personal detail, so none can be collected even by accident.
The app contains no third-party software development kits, no advertising networks, no social media integrations, and no external content of any kind. Every picture, sound, font and word is bundled inside the app itself. Nothing is fetched from anyone else's server while your child plays.
So that the app behaves the same way next time it is opened, it remembers a handful of preferences:
These are stored only in the app's own storage on the device. They contain no personal information, they are never transmitted anywhere, and they are removed when the app is deleted.
Clever Puffling is also playable in a web browser. That version is closed behind an access code that an adult types in before the game opens, and the code alone is sent to our server so it can be checked.
The access code is not personal information, it is not linked to any individual, and it is not used to identify anyone. Nothing about your child is sent at any point. As with any website, our server may briefly log a network address for security and reliability purposes.
This section does not apply to the iPad and iPhone app, which has no access code and sends nothing at all.
Clever Puffling is made for children aged 3 to 8, and it is built so that there is nothing to collect. Because we collect no personal information from anybody, we collect none from children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not disclose information to third parties, we do not share it, and we do not sell it - there is none to disclose, share or sell. There is no advertising shown to children, no external links to follow, and no user-generated content.
This approach is intended to meet the requirements of the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and the GDPR provisions covering children's data.
The app currently contains no in-app purchases and no links out to websites, social networks or other apps. If either is added in a future version, it will be placed behind an adult gate, and this policy will be updated before that version is released.
Data-protection law gives you the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is processed. In our case the answer to the first question is: none. There is no data to hand over, correct or erase, because none is ever gathered.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Any change to what the app collects would be reflected here and in the app's App Store privacy information before the version making that change is released.
